Adventures in The City

My sister and her Nick came to visit me this weekend, and it was an amazing weekend, as all weekends in San Francisco seem to be.  There was lots of craft beers, good food, and sights being seen.  I was feeling so very refreshed for this week ahead of me until I spent the day interviewing, applying, and getting a rejection from an interview last week.  The job application process is on the list of worst activities possible right under Chinese torture and above cramming for finals.  But...

Best Christmas Present

Between work Christmas, my birthday (on the 30th) and the New Year I've been happily busy.
My next conquest: finding a job up in San Francisco.  If any of you have had to look for a job in the past few years then you feel my pain.  Everything is online nowadays which seems like a convenience but it's not!  Just as you finishing inputting all of your work history (which you've done many times for every single job you've applied to) the website has an error and after screaming for a little bit you have to do it all again.  Or what about the cover letter you need to edit and rewrite for each specific job?!!  Not to mention the many interviews I will soon be going on.  Yes, finding a job is quite a conquest indeed...so wish me luck!

In the meantime, for your comedic relief, I'm going to post my absolute favorite Christmas present ever!  My sister and cousins and friends reenacted one of my favorite SNL skits.  Here is the link (watch it first if you've never seen it, so that you can see how much they nailed it).

And here is their version:
Hilarious!!

By the way my sister and cousin are the hams of the show...I bet you can guess which ones.

Grinchmas

Since I work at a bar right now my "weekend" is Sunday-Monday.  This weekend I went to visit my little sister up in SB.  She lives right on the ocean (has to live with 12 other girls in the tiny place to afford it) but still, its just amazing every time I visit.  We went to sleep listening to the waves crash and we woke up to this view in the morning.

On Monday we met my older sister at Universal Studios for Grinchmas.  My whole family is very enthusiastic about Christmas so we pretty much love Grinchmas.

I just first want to point out how awesome my shirt is...Christmas Walrus, yes.

Sister time!

It's snowing in Southern California ?!
No, those are bubbles.

I hope you all are feeling a little bit more festive after that post, I know I sure am.

Halloweentime at Disneyland

Ah I'm so excited about this post.  My step sister and her kids, my dad, my sister and her fiance (now husband) and I all went to Disneyland last Monday, right before Halloween, and we honestly had THE BEST TIME.  Everything was all dressed up for Halloween and it wasn't very crowded.   If you know anything about Disneyland then you'll know how crowded it was when I tell you the line for Space Mountain was only 25 minutes long!
Here are a few of the pictures I took on my phone.  Feel free to feel jealous because I certainly do when I look back at them.   Take me back Disney!

The Haunted Mansion

What do you mean chipmunks can't color?!?

After this he tried to approach her, which proceeded with her screaming bloody murder and everyone staring.

The bride-to-be and fiance.

Interesting hat choice.

Myla was driving, that is my happy but kinda scared face.
