Best Christmas Present

Between work Christmas, my birthday (on the 30th) and the New Year I've been happily busy.
My next conquest: finding a job up in San Francisco.  If any of you have had to look for a job in the past few years then you feel my pain.  Everything is online nowadays which seems like a convenience but it's not!  Just as you finishing inputting all of your work history (which you've done many times for every single job you've applied to) the website has an error and after screaming for a little bit you have to do it all again.  Or what about the cover letter you need to edit and rewrite for each specific job?!!  Not to mention the many interviews I will soon be going on.  Yes, finding a job is quite a conquest indeed...so wish me luck!

In the meantime, for your comedic relief, I'm going to post my absolute favorite Christmas present ever!  My sister and cousins and friends reenacted one of my favorite SNL skits.  Here is the link (watch it first if you've never seen it, so that you can see how much they nailed it).

And here is their version:
Hilarious!!

By the way my sister and cousin are the hams of the show...I bet you can guess which ones.

Grinchmas

Since I work at a bar right now my "weekend" is Sunday-Monday.  This weekend I went to visit my little sister up in SB.  She lives right on the ocean (has to live with 12 other girls in the tiny place to afford it) but still, its just amazing every time I visit.  We went to sleep listening to the waves crash and we woke up to this view in the morning.

On Monday we met my older sister at Universal Studios for Grinchmas.  My whole family is very enthusiastic about Christmas so we pretty much love Grinchmas.

I just first want to point out how awesome my shirt is...Christmas Walrus, yes.

Sister time!

"Okay now look more bad ass..."

The Grinch and the Who's perform during the tram tour.

It's snowing in Southern California ?!
No, those are bubbles.

I hope you all are feeling a little bit more festive after that post, I know I sure am.

A Whole Lotta Nutcracker

Little nutcrackers everywhere.  I don't know why but it feels like nothing bad can happen when these little guys and a Christmas tree is lit in the living room.  This is my favorite time of year and I'm trying to soak up every minute of it.  We decorated the house and the tree yesterday, along with a peppermint mocha and Christmas music.  I love that this season involves a lot of getting together and just enjoying the time.

But also happy 4th night of Hanakkuh!

'Tis the season!

It's that time of year again..

We've had the fire going, Christmas music playing and sipping on peppermint mochas throughout the weekend.  It's that time of year again and anyone who knows me, knows how excited I am about Christmas.  In fact on the day the holiday cups came out at Starbucks, I had 2 different friends text me a picture of them and their red cups!  The Christmas bug just runs in my family...my dad, my 2 sisters and I are all just crazy about this season.  There is just something  about this time that really makes you remember what life is really all about...little special moments with loved ones.

So anyway, I'm enjoying Christmas music by the fire tonight...cozied up with the dog, listening to all my favorites.  I challenge you all to a "Finish that Christmas Lyric" competition...winner buys peppermint mochas!
